SERVICES: The Department of Physiotherapy at Bugando Medical Center renders its service to complement the primary health package consisting of curative, preventive, and rehabilitative services. Our Department stands for recovery, curing and health improvement of patients. In principle, we work to reduce the duration of patient admission as well as to restore to optimal the physical function level of an individual. We deliver our treatments by physical means, e.g., thermotherapy, hydrotherapy, ice therapy, soft tissue manipulation, exercise therapy, electrotherapy, casting materials and other physical agents. We are capable of managing an average of 50 patients per day. • Private and self-referral patients may be attended even after official working hours, weekends, and public holidays by appointment. • Many of our patients are returned to full or partial physical activity.
